From Motocross to Supercross, Rally, Side by Sides, 110s, BMX or whatever he can get his hands on, Banks Hovey appears to be part of the next generation of riders hellbent on having fun above all else and it shows in every video I’ve watched.

I love watching his no stuffing around approach to rolling in and just hitting any jump put in front of him.

If you haven’t heard of him yet, well you must not have been listening to any of the last 12 months of podcasts, but he’s cut his teeth riding 110s on the big stage of X Games and ended up with the Silver Medal at this years event at Axell Hodges’ house, and only beaten to the top spot by Axell himself. But very quickly we’ve seen him riding some of the biggest events like Nitro Circus Live Tours and watching him smash the Next Gen ramp or Moon Booter. Ramps that aren’t to be sneezed at. And then you get an impression of how fast he’s coming along on his progress in FMX. But like I said, there’s no Box you can put Banks in, he’s just taking on everything and having fun along the way.

After rescheduling these 2 events a handful of times in the past 2 years, finally they are about to take place!

Freestyle of Nations is back, with the best teams in the world, with 3 riders each, going head to head. Cheer on your favourite nation for the win!

More events are on the horizon, but NOTJ are stoked to finally confirm these events where the fans have continued to wait patiently to see the best going head to head in competition.

First time ever, X Games will take the biggest sports to Chiba in Japan. FMX will be there and as it’s a clash with NIGHT of the JUMPs, it will be interesting to see which riders from Europe will make it to Japan.

Crusty Demons World Records

This is a one-off World Records night. Inside a soccer stadium, so I don’t expect to see Seth Enslow doing World Record long distance jumps, but they are talking about the first Triple Backflip at a show! And Double Backies on a Quad Bike. Let’s see who will go for all of this and more!

May 28th – Prague / Czech Republic

Avoiding a clash with NOTJ, Gladiator Games had to reschedule from November 2021 and will be one day before the Freestyle of Nations. Let’s see if any riders are going to miss the after party and go to NOTJ or stay on and party in Prague afterwards?

This will be huge! FK will be bringing in the big boys including Australia’s very best riders from Robbie Maddison, Rob Adelberg, Jacko Strong to Japan’s Taka Higashino. Even the young gun Ry Davis is looking to land his first 75ft backflip on a 125!!! The future is looking strong here!

In the new Riders Lounge Podcast interview, Nathan Brown had to be the bad guy to try reel in Jackson “Jacko” Strong from wanting to BASE jump a new building in Brisbane for the Nitro World Games promo.

Plan B looked pretty damn good too! Harry Bink and Josh Sheehan sky diving alongside Jacko for the Nitro Circus team.

Who remembers the battles between the major FMX tours?

First it was the Crusty Demons tour who started it all off!

Then came the challenge from the Metal Mulisha Tour in about 2005 When the Crusty tours were cemented as the top tour, a newcomer came in 2009 with the Nitro Circus Live tours.

And then things really got out of control fast!

If you remember these battles and feuds 10 years ago, you’re in luck.

The post Metal Mulisha vs Crusty Demons vs Nitro Circus Live. The battle for FMX Tour supremacy! first appeared on Riders Lounge Podcast.

There’s so much ground to cover in this episode from the Metal Mulisha vs Crusty Demons days of 2005 to the Crusty Demons vs Nitro Circus Live battleground in 2009, Nitro taking over the world into the Mental Health and the very private and very real struggle and how he came out the other end with a new platform to help not only himself, but also many others with the podcast focusing on Mental Health in the Action Sports arena.

The crazy thing is, Browny stumbled into all of this not even as an Action Sports fan, but simply looking for a job in the newspaper and not wanting to mow lawns anymore.  Luckily Crusty Demons were hiring and Nathan was in the right place at the right time.

Now, arguably he’s seen much more behind the scenes than many of us ever could dream, with 17 years of touring the globe with some of the craziest human beings in the world.
